The Senhora da Guia Cascais Boutique Hotel is on the western Atlantic coast of Portugal within the protected area of the Sintra Cascais Natural Park.
A short distance away is the Guincho beach, a great sweeping crescent of sand washed by the Atlantic waves. When the Portuguese Trade Winds are blowing or in periods of heavy Atlantic swell it is very popular place to surf or windsurf. The world surfing championships have been held here.
