Estalagem Quinta das Vistas is part of a small hotel group which aims to offer elegant and genuine accommodation in refurbished Manor houses reflecting the local culture, heritage and traditional hospitality.
This five star unit is located in Funchal and it is of outstanding quality. From it there are superb views over the mountains, Funchal and the sea. Surrounded by 12000 square metres of gardens and centenary trees the Estalagem reflects the elegance and glamour lived in Madeira in the beginning of the 20th century.
The Estalagem has sixty three twin bedrooms, three junior suites, four suites and a presidential suite located on the top floor. Two twin rooms have been specially designed for guests using wheelchairs. All bedrooms have a private balcony with delightful views over Funchal, gardens, mountains and the Atlantic Ocean.
Bedrooms also have private bathroom, air conditioning, direct dial telephone, safe deposit box, hairdryer, cable television, minibar and internet access.
Estalagem Quinta das Vistas has no smoking bedrooms.
Facilities include Winter garden and lobby, cocktail bar with veranda and terrace, interior and exterior heated pools, Jacuzzi, sauna, Turkish bath, relaxation room and fitness room with panoramic view, Vichy shower, sensation shower, centenary gardens and green areas and mini golf.
The Estalagem has free transport between the Hotel and the centre of Funchal and between the other hotels of the group.
The Estalagem’s restaurant, “La Belle Terrasse” is a gourmet restaurant with a covered and an open terrace offering the atmosphere of the mild Madeiran evening with an outstanding view over Funchal and some delightful creative dishes.
The dining room was decorated in the way to protect the original elegant architecture of the past romantic Madeira.
The Albatroz Piano Bar serves the winter garden, lobby, veranda and terrace.
At the Pool Bar creative and original snacks and drinks are served. It opens for light lunches in a relaxed atmosphere, enjoying a unique panoramic view over Funchal and its bay.
Taxis are available at the reception if requested. Public bus stop to Funchal and other destinations is just within 2 minutes walking from the Hotel.
The Estalagem also has parking and garage.
Madeira is well known for its pleasant climate, beautiful landscapes and a wealth of natural flora. The gardens are truly amazing with specimens of centenary trees, surrounded by magnificent indigenous vegetation.
Gardens such as the Botanical Gardens in Funchal are colourful during the whole year. In the past few centuries many flowers from South Africa’s Cape region and exotic blooms from South America have been introduced and grow alongside with autochthonous plants.
