Albergaria Pedra d’Ouro is situated in the beautiful coastal area near Sao Pedro de Moel. The area around it gained popularity in the past few years due to its long sandy beaches and pleasant climate.

Albergaria Pedra d’Ouro was initially a family home but due to its location and size, was later converted to a hotel. It is located on the top of a cliff facing the Pedra do Ouro beach.
The Albergaria has 2 suites with terrace and 22 double bedrooms, three having a balcony overlooking the sea. All bedrooms have private bathroom, air conditioning, mini bar, telephone, satellite TV, radio and safe.
Other hotel facilities include an indoor pool, gymnasium, sauna, bar and a restaurant with capacity up to 100 persons. The Albergaria’s bar communicates to a balcony overlooking the beach and the sea.
From the terrace guests may enjoy from a superb view of the sea and luckily a few dolphins might be spotted swimming freely in the Atlantic waters.
Nearby attractions include the interesting town of Leiria with its hilltop castle, restored during the 14th century by King Dinis. From the castle there is a magnificent view over the wide pine forest of Leiria. A few kms south from Leiria is Batalha which is known for the impressive 15th century gothic monastery.
This is in fact a land of Archeological and architectural treasures featuring some of Portugal’s most beautiful castles and churches. The Santa Maria Monastery in Alcobaca is renowned for its simple medieval architecture. Its construction was completed in 1223 and stands as the largest church in Portugal.
About 30 minutes away from Sao Pedro de Moel is Fatima, Portugal’s main religious centre. Each year Fatima welcomes pilgrims from the whole world, specially during May to commemorate the appearances of the Virgin Mary to three shepherd children.
Other interesting sites in the region are the walled town of Obidos, Tomar, Ourem and Nazare.
Albergaria Pedra de Ouro is nearly half way between Porto and Lisbon and is just 25 kms away from the A1 motorway which connects these two cities.
