The building of Hotel Dom Henrique was originally a bold project of 2 famous architects from Porto, who had planned the construction of an office building, which would be the first high-raise building in the city made with concrete.
Only after being already built was turned into a Hotel, after the proprietary came to the conclusion that the city needed a good 4 star Hotel.
The Hotel has 112 comfortable bedrooms, including 22 suites, all equipped with air conditioning, direct dial telephone with fax/modem plug, WIFI access available, satellite television, mini bar and hair dryer.
Hotel Dom Henrique also has 5 meeting rooms with capacity for up to 80 persons. All the rooms have daylight and are equipped to suit the needs of any event or meeting.
Hotel Dom Henrique is at the proximity of several monuments including the ancient City area recognised by UNESCO as World Heritage, and the Douro River Cruises boarding quay.
The city view from Bar “Anrrique”, on the 17th floor, and Conference room Navegador, on the 18th floor, is delightful and a must to all visitors of the Hotel.
Restaurant “Alem-Mar”, on the ground floor, featuring Traditional Portuguese and International food, serves the Buffet Breakfast, lunch and dinner in a casual elegant ambience.
